Spring is a favorite time of year for the Wentworth Admissions team because it is when we finally get to welcome accepted students to campus! We have reviewed your applications, chatted with you on the phone and through email, and now we finally have the opportunity to meet you in person! We know that choosing a college is a huge decision for high school seniors and their families. We hope our spring events will help make your decision as easy as possible. Even if you have visited campus before, we hope that you will come back to campus and participate in any or all of our different events for our accepted students.

Accepted Student Day: We will be hosting two Accepted Student Day events on Friday, March 24 and Friday, March 31. The events are identical so feel free to sign up for whichever one fits your schedule. Accepted Student Day is a chance to get better acquainted with all aspects of the Wentworth experience. You will also have the opportunity to get a first glimpse of what the class of 2021 might look like! We will be conducting campus tours throughout the day so students will be able to view our academic buildings and residence halls. Families will be able to speak directly with representatives from the Financial Aid Office, Center for Wellness and Disability Services, Co-ops and Careers, and more! Students and families will also enjoy a catered lunch. Please register in advance through the accepted students website so that we know to expect you.

Shadow Days: Interested in experiencing a day in the life of a Wentworth student? If so, then we have the perfect program to satisfy your curiosity! The Shadow Day program allows accepted students to come to campus and shadow the classes of a current Wentworth student in their chosen major. We also provide lunch vouchers for prospective students to dine on campus alongside their student host. This program is a fantastic way for students to determine if Wentworth and their anticipated major is the right fit for them. The event will run from Monday February 6- Friday April 7. Please note that there is no overnight component to this program. If interested, complete a request form on our accepted student website. Please give us two weeks notice in order to accommodate your request. For students participating, if you snap a picture while on campus and share the picture on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #ShadowWIT, we will send you some Wentworth swag!

Women at Wentworth Dessert Reception: We invite women who have been accepted to Wentworth for the Fall 2017 semester to join us immediately following Accepted Student Day for a dessert reception. We will be hosting this reception after both Accepted Student Day events. Accepted females will be receiving a formal invitation to the event. Women of the Wentworth community will be in attendance to meet, mingle, and enjoy delicious desserts with prospective female students interested in enrolling at Wentworth. The women of Wentworth look forward to sharing their experiences with the next generation of female students. If you can’t wait until the reception to learn more, follow us on Instagram as we profile an influential woman at Wentworth every Wednesday!

We look forward to seeing you this spring! If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Admissions Office at 617-989-4000 or email

Application Review

November 18, 2016 — Leave a comment

Sorry we haven’t written in a while—we’ve been busy reviewing your applications for Spring and Fall 2017!

We know that you are all anxious to receive your admission decisions, and we are working hard to get those to all of you as soon as possible. If you aren’t sure if your application is complete, reach out to your admissions counselor to check your application status. If you don’t know who your admissions counselor is, follow this link to see who reviews applications for your region. If you haven’t heard from us recently, make sure you are checking the email that you applied to Wentworth with. The majority of our communication with you is through email.

If you haven’t yet applied to Wentworth, there is still plenty of time!

Wentworth operates on rolling admissions, which means we review applications in the order in which they are received until our majors reach capacity. Wentworth has a priority deadline of February 15th. After this day, we do not guarantee space availability in any of our majors. Completing an application before February 15th ensures you a space in your major if you are accepted to Wentworth. From the time an application becomes complete, we try to send out decision letters within a 3-5 week time frame. If you are applying for spring 2017 transfer, we require a completed application by December 1st. Only select majors are available for transfer in the spring semester. Space is limited in these majors so completing an application as soon as possible is recommended. Read more about the transfer admissions process here.

As a reminder, Wentworth’s application requires:

  1. Application with essay
  2. High school transcript
  3. Standardized test scores (SAT or ACT). W super score the SAT!
  4. At least 1 letter of recommendation from an academic source or guidance counselor

Lastly, we have exciting news! Students applying for admission to the Fall 2017 semester will have the opportunity to apply to a brand new major, Biological Engineering! Read more about Biological Engineering here.

We realize this is a stressful time for high school seniors. The admissions office at Wentworth is here to help, so reach out to us with any questions or concerns at 617-989-4000 or

During our Summer Preview Days, students will have the opportunity to tour campus as well as learn more about:

  • The admissions process
  • Co-op
  • Financial Aid
  • Majors

Students and families should plan to arrive on campus between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. to check-in at Blount Auditorium. The day will conclude at 2:00 p.m. after the optional Admissions Counselor Reception. If you choose not to stay for the reception, the day will conclude at 1:15 p.m. The reception is an excellent opportunity to meet your Admissions Counselor, who will later be reviewing your application. There will also be light refreshments served! Our Preview Days do reach capacity, so register ASAP if you are interested in attending!

If you are not able to make it for a Summer Preview Day. There are still other opportunities to visit campus this summer.
