Second CollegeThinkTank Boston on November 9, 2013.
We are back! We are excited! We can’t wait! The countdown is on …
The first CollegeThinkTank Boston was a smashing success and this Saturday, November 9, 2013 will be no different. We’ll be hosting a new challenge around “Funding Channels for Small Businesses” and will be again at MassChallenge with amazing views, innovative thinkers, and good food. Sign up to be part of it – again or for the first time!
Mayor Tom Menino and President Zorica Pantic kicked-off the first CollegeThinkTank Boston.
What an amazing day! – pictures to proof it are here
100 students from 19 Colleges were participating in the first CollegeThinkTank Boston. There was a wide range of majors represented including engineering, architecture, design, business, music, health science, humanities, arts, social sciences, medicine, law, theology, computer science, mathematics, life sciences, and public service. The conversations were diverse, challenging, and engaging and students were coming with an open mind and a great spirit (after all it was a beautiful Saturday morning after a week of rain!). Our very own Mayor Tom Menino and President Pantic kicked off the event with some inspirational words to the students. Students came up with some amazing new ideas on how to work the City’s challenge of “vacant storefronts”, which we will share with the public shortly.
Our facilitators enjoyed the day as well, so much so that they signed up to be part of the next one. We did already receive quite a few emails from students asking about the next CollegeThinkTank Boston and we are aiming for September/October at this point.
If you are interested in getting infos for application to the next ThinkTank, please put yourself on our ALERT ME list.

Are YOU a Student? – Your Ideas Become Boston’s Reality.
The City of Boston and Wentworth are gathering students from different disciplines and from local colleges and universities to participate in a ONE-DAY COLLEGE THINK TANK. 10 students from each college/university will be selected and brainstorm ideas and creative solutions to real City challenges alongside design thinkers, city representatives, and community partners.
You will be challenged to generate ideas that represent the community and shape Boston’s neighborhoods.
We are excited at the opportunity this event presents to further help build a stronger and more collaborative student community, showcase Boston’s students, and expand and enhance the learning experiencebeyond campus boundaries.
